The Pentaflex tooling designers work with a customer’s engineering team to advise on how to incorporate design for manufacturing into a current or proposed product. If our team sees a way that a design can be optimized for a customer’s process or price, we will recommend this to the customer.
The tool designers at Pentaflex utilize AutoCAD to design tooling. Our team is then able to manipulate the detailed components into 2-D drawings and 3-D models.
By employing their knowledge of the stamping process and state of the art design technology, Pentaflex engineers assist the customer to design a component that meets their functional requirements at the best possible value.
Pentaflex tool designers also use software to do forming analysis such as material thickening and thinning, wrinkle tendency and tearing or splitting under extreme forming.
