On December 3, 2025, the employees of Pentaflex, Inc. celebrated a remarkable milestone: 1,000 days of work with no lost time due to accidents.
OSHA tracks Lost Time Incident Rates (LTIR) across various industries to determine the frequency of lost time due to workplace accidents. The manufacturing industry has an average LTIR of 0.9 annually.
Pentaflex has achieved an LTIR of 0 for 3 years. Ross McGregor, president of Pentaflex considers this achievement historic: “I couldn’t be more proud of this incredible team for reaching a milestone that truly stands out in our company’s history. This achievement isn’t just a number; it represents every safe decision made, every moment of awareness, every act of looking out for one another. It reflects who we are.”
“The fact that our employees have remained safe and injury‑free for over 1,000 days is nothing short of extraordinary. But what makes this accomplishment even more meaningful is what it says about our culture. It tells me that we’ve built a workplace around employee safety,” said McGregor.
Since the manufacturing company opened its doors in 1972, a “safety first” approach has been stamped into its ethos with every employee, on every production job. Pentaflex routinely celebrates its safety achievements.
The “1,000 Days of Safety” landmark was celebrated with a catered luncheon for employees, and commemorative t-shirts to mark the occasion.
“We’re a workplace where safety isn’t just a slogan on a wall, but a shared value, lived out every day,” said McGregor.
“When our team comes into work knowing they are supported, protected, and valued, it creates an environment where everyone can thrive. That sense of trust and care is something we’ve all helped to build, one day at a time. And reaching this 1,000‑day record is proof that when we work together with intention and purpose, we can achieve remarkable things. I want to thank our team for their dedication, their vigilance, and their commitment to one another,” he added.
A strong culture of safety not only keeps employees safe, it also supports the consistency, quality and reliability for which Pentaflex products are known.
The 1,000 days of safety is a milestone worth celebrating, and Pentaflex views it as part of a long-term commitment, one that continues with every decision, every process, and every person who walks through its doors.
