At Pentaflex, we have designed our 123,000 square foot facility with the most capable stamping presses, value-added equipment and support machinery in order to offer our account partners a complete range of manufacturing solutions.
Three of our presses - 200 ton to 300 ton - are used primarily for progressive die work. Two other 500 ton presses are used for progressive die work and heavy forming. Lot sizes for these machines are from 5,000 - 40,000 pieces per run.
Five major presses are straight side hydraulic machines for very heavy gauge blanking, drawing and forming. Tonnage capacity of these machines is up to 2,300 tons with up to 500 tons of die cushion available.
Other presses include a new 1500 ton mechanical press with a large bed for larger progressive dies, single point and double crank presses, which are typically used for secondary operations for parts made on the hydraulic machines and also for press assembly work. For a closer look at our press list, see the equipment page.
We offer production machining and assembly on standard and CNC machines, assembly stations, and automated equipment using both manufactured and purchased components. Production welding is performed on projection welders and robotic gas metal ARC welders.
Our in-house tool and die department enables us to design, manufacture and maintain all of our customers' tooling requirements.
Pentaflex toolmakers are skilled craftspeople who, with the help of CAD, Pro-E technology and other state of the art equipment, produce and maintain tooling to exacting standards.
The Pentaflex Quality Laboratory is equipped with two coordinate measuring machines and many other pieces of quality control equipment. All are calibrated on a regular basis. Just as importantly, our quality control personnel are highly skilled and receive continuing education in quality related fields.
Our shipping and receiving docks accommodate any type of truck, and have three 15 ton capacity bridge cranes traveling throughout different areas of our manufacturing facility.
Our Engineering department works closely with the customer and our tool room professionals to provide strong engineering support. Whether it's a new assembly requiring prototyping or a product that has been manufactured for years.
All members of the Pentaflex production, quality and toolroom personnel receive basic training in health and safety programs, as well as in basic quality requirements. Continuing education and self improvement are encouraged by a pay for skills program available to our production and quality staffs.
While safety is everybody's responsibility, our Maintenance department is on the front line to make sure Pentaflex is always a safe and healthy workplace. The Maintenance team conducts regularly scheduled preventive maintenance programs on all machinery, and is well equipped to handle emergency problems which may affect production.
The Sales and Manufacturing departments work together to handle order entry and production scheduling . Our EDI and manufacturing software allows jobs to move swiftly through our system from order entry to shipment.
Our administrative staff, comprised of secretarial, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology, work together to keep Pentaflex operating smoothly and efficiently.
From the minute an order is received until it is processed through our shipping department, your project will be handled by a team truly dedicated to providing the best for you, our customers.
The majority of Pentaflex's customers are in the heavy truck industry. They include companies who design and manufacture transmissions, axles, clutches, brakes, wheel and drive line components for trucks up to and including Class 7 and 8 vehicles. The balance of our valued account partners include Tier II suppliers in the automotive, agriculture, lawn & garden and the industrial marketplace.
